In John’s classroom: Leveraging his experience, John understands the importance of community involvement in revitalizing our education system where every student has access to a high-quality education. Drawing on his experience as an educator and advocate, he champions equitable funding, resources, and support for all schools. Through community partnerships, policy advocacy, and grassroots initiatives, John works to address systemic challenges and create opportunities for innovation and improvement. Forge Partnerships with Communities

What we’ll do:

• Collaborate with local businesses, nonprofits, government agencies, and community organizations to address systemic challenges and leverage resources.

• Establish advisory boards or task forces to engage community stakeholders in identifying priorities, setting goals, and implementing initiatives.

• Create opportunities for community members to participate in decision-making processes and contribute their expertise and perspectives.

What we’ll do:

• Ensure fair and transparent allocation of funding, staffing, and resources to address disparities and inequities across schools and districts.

• Advocate for policies that prioritize the needs of underserved and marginalized student populations, including English language learners, students with disabilities, and students from low-income families.

• Invest in targeted interventions and support services to close achievement gaps and promote equity in educational outcomes.

• Expand access to technology and digital resources to support blended learning, personalized instruction, and remote education initiatives.

• Provide training and technical assistance to educators to ensure effective integration of technology into teaching and learning practices.
